Whenever i try to access a web page like to bid on something on ebay or my hotmail, i get this page cannot be displayed. i have verizon dsl connected by ethernet. everyone keeps telling my fire wall is set too high i'm not sure if that's it or not but i don't know how to change it or if my security settings are too high, but i don't know what they are supposed to be either so if someone could help me fix this problem i'd be most appreciative. thank you

Hi Crupp. Welcome to GTG. <_<

Instead of asking you several questions concerning what firewall you are using, etc., please follow these instructions.

Let us take a closer look at what is running on your PC. We'll need you to use a free diagnostic tool (HiJackThis) and post a log back here with the results.

Click the HijackThis Guide in my signature, download it and follow the instructions in the guide.

Most of what it lists will be harmless or even essential, DO NOT delete or modify anything yet! Someone will be along to tell you what steps to take after you post the contents of the scan results.
