need help with 2 hijackthis log entries... [RESOLVED]

i did a scan on my computer and manage to figgure out all but 2 entries


O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [windows 32 services] wuamcgy32.exe
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: 9y2lsgrx9orjr3j.dll

does anybody have some info about them? i couldn't find anything on google..

Hi RAz

Both are definitely bad..but don't go ahead and fix them..let me see the whole log..there will be other measures to take..also tell if you've fixed anything in HijackThis what they were..

Firstly, locate this file: wuamcgy32.exe see if it's in running processes

Most probably its path will be:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\wuamcgy32.exe

If it's different, then change the filepath below.

Submit it to Jotti for analysis.

Jotti File Submission:
  • Please go to Jotti's malware scan
  • Copy and paste the following file path into the "File to upload & scan"box on the top of the page:
    • C:\WINDOWS\System32\wuamcgy32.exe
  • Click on the submit button
  • Please post the results in your next reply along with the HijackThis log.

thanks for the help... i fixed the problem though... can't remember what i fixed but it works fine now and i don't have any suspicious entries in my hijackthis log...
