Hello, My name is Aaron I recently had a lapse in internet service through my provider Adelphia. This was not a problem for me, but what they do not tell you is when this happens their provided full security from Freedom also will not work. Mind you i also connect to a wireless network that was outside of my home service. I connected the net with zero anitivirus protection. Whoo Hoo. Yeah I know....if I had been aware that this was the case I would never even think of connecting, but I didnt know until it was too late. I have read through forums here DL ewido and the like to see if i could curb this problem. Once I get rid of one it seems another steps up to bat for it. I had Aurora which I tried nail fix and it may have worked since Micorsoft beta spyware does not show it anymore after a scan. I somehow have Web Nexus now. If i thought the uninstall at the bottom of their pages was Lagit Id do it, but I know this is not the case. I have Freedom Internet security. Microsoft Beta spyware. Ad-Aware....and i attempted to DL Trend Micros free trial so i can get rid of Freedom after this whole debacle and it crashed my comp. Help please. I have a year old sony Vaio Laptop. ANY help will be paramount! Thank You For Your Time. Aaron S.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

Ok I went to the forum...I have been there before. I have run all of those options before as well. I restarted in safe mode by typing msconfig.exe in run....I ran in order...Ewido Scanner.....Ad-Aware....CCleaner....Microsoft Anti spyware Beta.....CWshredder....and My Freedom Anit-Virus and Anti-SPyware scanners....They all turned up clean except Freedom Spware found a Midway file or something that is says it deleted......I am still getting web-nexus pop ups even though I have my XP Sp 2 firewall set to allow none....Im sure its because it is bundled with IE or something....As I stated before I had attempted to DL the Trend Micro free trial to see if I liked it since Im getting rid of freedom and Trend crashed my comp....Well I tried to delete the Trend Files without running the uninstaller....Yes I know My mistake and now when I try it says cannot uninstall a file thats not there, but its there alright running just about the whole program....so I try to delete the file and says cant because it is write protected or running from another program...I looked at processes that I knew were Trend and stopped them, but it it has not worked. In safe boot or not......Here is my HiJackthis Log after I ran all of the previous stated programs...........Again Thank You For Your Free Time To Help Me......
