Hey. About a week ago, I upgraded 98 to XP. It seems like a wrong move..Every thing was running fine on 98. Working with XP within the past week has been miserably slow. I ran spy bot and adware personal, but nothing was found. This started from day one anways so I know it isn't spyware.

The internet browsing it's self is fine, but as far as loading anything, forget about it. Here are some examples of what is loading slow.

Browsers - Maximize, minimize, whatever..It takes about 10 seconds to do that; And the page doesn't even automatically minimize/maximize, it slowly rolls down.

Start button - Peh..Even something as simple as that loads slow. I click the button, and the menu takes about 5-10 seconds to load, just to roll down slowly.

It seems like loading pages/programs are the only thing that is killing me. I can't even click another internet page without being annoyed, because it takes like2 minutes to load everything.

Any help or suggestions is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What kind of processor speed and memory do you have? You want about 1ghz and 256mb of memory for XP.
