Hi,
I know my PC has been compromised, but I cannot find the root source.
I have run Ad-aware and SpyBot multiple times and they find and clean many objects, yet those objects seem to return. Same with Microsoft's own Malware detector. it finds a rootkit everytime. It looks like it returns upon reboot.
ZoneAlarm gets multiple requests and shutting those down seems to help, though sometimes the internet connection goes.

Per your site, i did try TrojanHunter and it found several things and cleaned them, yet they seem to still appear in their locations.

Anyway, here is my Hijack this! log.

Anyhelp would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi Sam,
Thanks for replying. I believe I still need help, but since I am at work and my PC is at home I will have to run Hijack this! and resend at a later time.

One question I do have:

Since I have been manually shutting down questionable exe files by renaming them filename_BACKUP" should I undo this fix in order for those anti-trojan and spyware programs to find them and eliminate them? I do know that Ad-Aware and Spybot never seem to find them or if they do they pop back up on reinstall. Microsoft's malware scanner doesn't seem to find them either.
Thanks,
Tom

Hey Sam,
You will have to bear with me as my laptop has become unstable. While I am tryign to run scans in Safe Mode, I am going to try to run HackThis again and move it to this PC so that I can post.
Thanks for your patience.

Just post when you can. I'll be around.

A quick question though, is your Mcafee antivirus up to date?
