Boot Screen Password Lock I cant even load XP without a password

An "Enter Password" screen comes up before XP will even load. Safe mode is inaccessible. CTRL-ALT-DEL just restarts the computer. If you enter the password wrong 3 times the computer locks up. ANYONE know how to bypass this?.. or aquire the password?

It must be the BIOS password.
To reset it, remove the battery from your BIOS chip, and put it back again.
