First, my windows are square again. I change them to round, and it doesnt change. It is still square.

Second, none of my icons are showing on my desktop, but when I go to the Desktop folder they are all there.

Third, WinXP won't run MS-DOS programs.

Fourth, Windows Media Player uninstalled, and now it refuses to install. :tazz:

I appreciate any and all help.

Please go to the malware forum in my signature and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE .

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty--and you may not be-- then post a hijackthis log in THAT forum.

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.

try that first...then once you're clean we'll take it from there

For desktop icons:
Download the following script from Kelly's Korner and run it:
enabledisabledesktopicons.vbs.

Can you give more details about the other issues.
What error message, if any do you recive when you run Ms-DOS appz or when you install Windows Media Player?
Also I dont get what you mean by the following: :tazz:

First, my windows are square again. I change them to round, and it doesnt change. It is still square.

Windows are meant to be square.
Are you using any 3rd party software to make it round?

Ok, You meant the Windows Xp theme.
Right-click on Desktop, click Properties to open Display Properties, click on Themes tab, in the drop-down box choose Windows XP.
Also go through the rest of Post#4 again.
