A few problems that I am experiencing:

1. I still can't see Administration Tools from the Control Panel.
2. Every time I reboot my computer I need to resetup my password for any Scheduled Tasks that I have. (This might just be a problem with Scheduled Tasks on Win2K.)
3. When I try and download the Oracle Jinitiator and install it, I get the following window titled "16 bit Windows Subsystem"
C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
It has two buttons 'Close' and 'Ignore'. If I click either button, the application does not install and is not usable.
4. I have Symantec Anti-Virus running and on a regular basis I get errors about a Bloodhound Morphine virus in C:\WINNT\system32\msconfig32x.exe. The quarantine succeeds and access is denied, but is there anyway to get rid of this permanently?

Here is the latest HJT scan:

Please RIGHT-CLICK HERE to download Silent Runner's.
  • Save it to the desktop.
  • Run Silent Runner's by doubleclicking the "Silent Runners" icon on your desktop.
  • You will see a text file appear on the desktop - it's not done, let it run (it won't appear to be doing anything!)
  • Once you receive the prompt All Done!, open the text file on the desktop, copy that entire log, and paste it here.
*NOTE* If you receive any warning message about scripts, please choose to allow the script to run.

Regards,

Trevuren
