I think I finally got it licked. I downloaded a newer version of Sophos Anti-vrus that "Quarantined" the affected file "rdriv.sys", after only 30 or so hours of running various Spyware, Trojanware, Anti-virus programs. Attached is the Hijack this logfile of post virus system.
Anything in this list that is of concern?
Mind you when I started this escapade, there were abut 10 malware programs running on the system (Win2K). Can't find my list right now and I don't remember them all. Any help to confirm that it (rootkit-x) is gone would be appreciated. Anything else discovered would be greatly appreciated

Sorry for the abrupt start of my message. I'm so frustrated with this thing that if I had better options, I would have unplugged the machine and hucked it out the window a long time ago.
Based on your (admins/helpers) analyses of others' Hijackthis logs, I have no doubt in my mind that someone will find the cure all for my ills. Keep up the good work. And thanks in advance.

"I'm not sure how that happened, but here it is again....for the second time."
