Removal Of Malware [RESOLVED]

Could you please help me to remove the Malware on my system. I have been through the list of checks that you have listed prior to posting this topic.

I have run Ad-aware and Spy Sweeper to remove the infection on my PC but this has not worked. I have also used PC-MightyMax to clean up the problem this has not worked either, but it did identify two invalid registry paths both c:\windows\system32\blankhtm, from this I was able to determin that the problem was Malware infection using Google and following the links the Hijack website.

The symptoms are, on bootup the screen locks and requires a reboot to continue or the screen goes black or you get a blue screen with a serious error message. I have been using Norton GoBack to get around this problem, it is the only way I can boot my computer. I have found that after using Norton GoBack I can reboot or restart the compute immediatly and it will boot okay, but if I return a few hours later and reboot then I need to use Norton Goback to restore my disk so that I can boot successfully again.

I have attached my Hijack log for you to have a look at. I would be greatfull for any assistance.

Hi and welcome to GeeksToGo! My name is Sam and I will be helping you. :tazz:

I see you are running Hijackthis from your desktop. Please create a directory on your c: drive called c:\hijackthis and move hijackthis into that directory. Run the program from that directory from now on. It is essential that you follow these steps or certain important features of the program will not function correctly.

Once you have Hijackthis running from a within a folder please reboot and post a new hijackthis log.

Hi Sam thanks for coming back to me. Since I have logged my request I have done a system restore on XP and reloaded my programs that were missing. This seems to have cleared the problem. I can now boot okay, without the need to use Norton Go Back.

However I would still appreciate it if you would take a look at the new HijackThis log you requested in your reply. The problem may still be on my system.

I have moved the file from my desktop onto the C drive and placed into a HijackThis folder before running, it is grouped with my programs and download files etc.
