You probably just need the proper Codec.

Try Divx: http://www.divx.com/divx/

and, XviD: http://www.divx-dige...tware/xvid.html

I made the two downloads but still can't get the avi. files to play. When I attempt to do so, my windows media player comes up with the error message "class not registered" #80040154 error message. Is there something I have to do to select the Divx player over the windows player?

Did you reboot after installing the Codecs?

If so, you may still not have the proper Codec, try Nimo's Codec Pack.

To identify the Codec needed, try this handy program:
http://www.headbands...t/download.html

Or, the AVI file may just be corrupt.
