I run windows xp pro and have been having problems lately. I decided that maybe simply reformatting and starting from scratch would be my best bet. So I reformatted the computer and started installing windows xp pro. I get through everything okay until I get to installing devices, then I get a couple of error messages. One that reads IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Then after trying again I get another PFN_LIST_CORRUPT. and now when I try I get this message
"The signature for windows xp professional edition setup is invalid. the error code is 6ba the RPC server is unavailable

***

Fatal error:
Setup failed to install the product catalogs. this is a fatal error. the setup log firles should contain more information."

I tried one last time and I got this message

STOP: C000021a (fatal system error)
the windows subsystem process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x0000005 (0x75e60c68 oxoo66f258) The system has been shut down

Please oh please help. This computer was expensive and I am freaking out <_<

Try checking your memory using http://www.memtest86.com It loads from a bootable floppy drive.

Installation
===============
Memtest86 is a stand alone program that cannot be executed under windows and must
be loaded from a floppy disk.

To install Memtest86:
- Extract the files from the zip archive
- Open the directory where the files were extracted and click on "install.bat".
- The install program will prompt you for the floppy drive and also prompt you to
insert a blank floppy.
- To run Memtest86 leave the floppy in the drive and reboot.

NOTE: After the boot floppy has been created you will not be able to read the floppy
from windows. This is normal.

Are you sure the hard drive jumpers are set correctly? (master/slave/cable select)
