[troubled05]

Hi guys,
This is my first time here.
I want to let you guys know that i lost. I promised myself that i will figure out all the errors and malware by reading other peoples discussions on geekstogo but i was wrong.
Anyway i am here now with my hijackthis log.
History.
My computer got infected with aurora network and i tried to unistall it through "Add/Remove Programs" and then it got worse.
I did the process of removing aurora (running ewide, nailfix,cleaner,and removing the files one by one from registery and all the other things as were described in some of the discussions ). I see some progress but still a lot of problems.These are the errors i am getting at the restart

Errors:(1) error occured while trying to run c:\windows\system32\wfcdlg.dll dll get version

(2) C:\windows\nail.exe not found
(3) Error loading Aunps2.dl ( This error was never corrected )
(4) Error loading c:\windows\cfgmgr52.dll

Right now i uninstalled my firefox and installed again.
Now if i do any search (google or yahoo ) i will get directed to other websites related to my search in the same browser window. So we cant exactly call it a popup.
If i hit the v=back button it will go to a different website and will keep doing it until i open a ew browser window. It doesnt happen all the time, sometimes would run for 15-20 minutes without a problem.

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe.

Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop.

Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log.

Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until I ask you to.


If you recieve any error messages for CMD or Autoexec.bat>> Select Option 5 from the l2mfix and once at the Site,Click on the link that apply to your Operating System!

Well i ran I2mfix ( by selecting option 1 ) but got cmd autoexec error so i closed the error. ( But it did generate a notepad file ) which is pasted below.
Anyway i chose option 5 and was redirected to a registry mechanic website. Now i downloaded that tool registery tool and installed it.
What to to do next.??????????

Just to let you know my friend , i have antispy and antivirus enabled on my computer named "FREEDOM" supplied to me from my ISP which is ADELPHIA HIGH SPEED INTERNET.

Registery Mechanic is installed at

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users.WINDOWS\Start Menu\Programs
I am still waiting you want me to run registry mechanic or not ?????

OK,thats what called a classic redirect!

You werent suppose to get to the Reg Mechanic Site,it should have taken you to another!

I will attach 2 Zip folders to this post,one will be called XPHomeFiles and the Other will be called XPProFiles!

Download the one that applies to your Operating System!

Unzip and Extract all Files!

Double Click the .exe to execute it-> When the small Window pops up-> Click Unzip and it will do the rest!

If you get prompted to Overwrite some files,just agree to do so!

Once you have completed that-> Run the l2mfix Option 1 and post that log,letting me know you didnt get any errors!

Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.


From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer.

After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log.

Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

After posting the l2m and HijackThis logs,please proceed with the Instructions below!

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:

Please read Ewido Setup Instructions
Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files. Do NOT run a scan yet.

If you have not already installed Ad-Aware SE 1.06, follow these download and setup instructions, otherwise, check for updates:

Download and Install
CleanUp!
Dont use it yet!

Reboot into SAFE MODE(Tap F8 when restarting)

Run Cleanup,when prompted to log off>> Select No

Scan the PC with Ewido just as described in the link-> Clean everthing it finds and make sure to Save the Report

Scan the System with Ad Aware,remove everything it finds and delete all quaratine files!

Run MSCONFIG and enable everything in the startup area. To get to MSCONFIG, click on Start -> Run -> type in MSCONFIG -> click OK!

Under the "General" Tab
Make Sure Normal Startup is Checked!!

Click Apply>>OK>>Follow the Prompts to Restart!!

Restart Normal and have the PC Scanned here:
Panda Active Scan

You will need to be using Internet Explorer for the Scan to work!

Save the Report it generates

Download the Hoster from here:
http://www.funkytoad...load/hoster.zip
Press "Restore Original Hosts" and press "OK"!
Exit Program!


Post back with a fresh HijackThis log and the reports from Ewido and Panda!

I ran I2mfix by selecting option 2 and after the reboot i got the same errors which i mentioned in the first post.
My antivirus freedom also popped up these errors
(1) Virus Name: W32/Trojan.vp
Infected File: D:\\windows\system32\wufeman.dll
Though D Drive is CD Drive and there is no CD in the Drive

(2) Virus Name: W32/Trojan.vp
C:\\windows\system32\adkctrs.dll
(3) Virus Name: W32/Trojan.vp
C:\\windows\syatem32\ibsecsnp.dll
(4) Virus Name: W32/Trojan.vp
C:\\windows\syatem32\kedca.dll

after clicking OK on all these erors I got a log file from I2mfix which is below

Right Click the Zip Folder and Select "Extract All"

Download LQfix

Double Click LQfix.exe-> Click Install-> Open and Double Click ClickThis.bat

Let it Run-> When prompted to reboot-> Do So back into Safe Mode again!


Once in Safe Mode-> From the WinPFind folder-> Doubleclick WinPFind.exe and Click "Start Scan"

It will scan the entire System, so please be patient!

One you see "Scan Complete"-> a log (WinPFind.txt) will be automatically generated in the WinPFind folder!


Restart Normal and post the WinPFind log!

ran cleanup in safe mode,ran ewido scan , adware se , after restart panda active scan. At the reboot i dont see the error of "could not found nail.exe" but still got the other two errors.

I could not find any of these softwares in the Add/Remove Window (adawarealert,cashback,funwebproducts,searchrelevant,myway). So i proceeded with the rest of the instructions.

when i reboot after merging rem.reg into registry i did not get any error (aupsn2,nail.exe or cfgmgr3)

Go ahead and remove any of the tools downloaded that are of no use anymore!

I installed spyblaster and enabled protection on everything , though i dont see its icon in the startup part of the task bar.

I unzipped the hosts folder and copy hosts filr to
C:\I386
Thats where my old hosts file was.
I replaced the old with the new one.
Is this right ??? please let me know

As far as the system restore point is concerned i turned it off and did a reboot.

Now can i turn my sytem restore on back again ???

(Q) i have one other question , i have netmeeting ( Windows desktop sharing netmeeting ) icon in my startup part of the taskbar. I want to get rid of ot from startup, but dont know which file it is in MSCONFIG


and everything else is working perfect , KUDOS TO YOU MY FRIEND. BRAVO
