Hi

I recently installed anew desktop theme (ive got a desktop themes proggie) and the theme changed the style of my logon and logoff windows.

I've searched the web and tryed a few reccommended fixes but to no avail.

It looks similiar to a Win2K style logon/logoff with dialog boxes instead od the WinXp style..

Any suggestions appreciated.

list the theme program, and the theme.

Is suspect you altered a system file that needs to be changed back

Gosh, I wish I could but I removed the theme and deleted it......Many themes will do this very same thing and when removed will not take care of these essentials.

I know you can change logon/logoff graphics and I can search the internet successfully for how to do this but how to change the complete style of how to logon is a mystery.....It's like the system is fooled about the version of styles it can use......Got to be a global setting that controls this...if only I knew which one....

Thanks for the interest

Did you try a system restore? The only other thing I can think of is to copy the themes off of the cd and reinstall them.

Great idea if you're a fan of system restore which I'm not. (System Hog)

It's really not a big issue anyway...The computer and system are running fine...Just thought that if I could retrieve the original schema easily enough I would but it apparently turns out to be more involved than just a simple seting.

I think I'm gonna try some new themes that may default to the original schema.
I'm sure I will eventually trip on the solution.

Thanks for the interest.
