I have been using the latest version of nero, without any difficulties, for a while now, but now it seems to have all gone tits-up! I dont know what i have changed or done for this error to come up, but it's seriously doing my nut! i have tried using different media CD-R / DVD-/+R, reinstalling software, updtaing frimware (to the latest version i could find) but nothing seems to have done the trick! What i dont understand is, that everything was working fine a week-2weeks ago!

after a day of trying to rectify this issue, (for reasons unknown to me) i am now able to burn CD-R(w)'s, but am still lacking the ability to write DVD-/+R(w)'s ....
What is going on???

Spec: WinXP SP1 | D: _NEC DVD_RW ND-1300A Firmware 1.09 conected to Primary IDE

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go. I suggest going to nero's web page and look for software updates. They do post them from time to time. FYI Nero will not packet write to CD-R media.
