Hello there. Well, I was minding my own business, clicking on 'My Computer' when it slightly froze and a window popped up saying something about DrWatson with those 'Don't Send' and "Send Error Report" options. I panicked, and scanned my computer with AVG Free, then Ad-Aware SE Personal, then Spybot Search and Destroy. All of the programs found something different, if anything, so I deleted whatever they found. Then I used the CleanUp! program and flushed everything out, cookies and all that. I restarted my computer and ran HijackThis and saved a log. I'm not sure if DrWatson is still on my computer. When I click on My Computer now, the DrWatson thing doesn't pop up, which I hope is good, but my files are slightly changed. It used to be in sections, but now they're all bunched together. Dr Watson is a system program which tries and captures the last moments just before the system or a program crashes !!!! You see Dr Watson as the last guy on the scene and assume that it the bad guy !!!


Your log looks fine except for a few things -

Run Hijack This and click on scan. The following items need to be fixed -

Thank you for your help! I thought Dr Watson was bad because of all the fuss people made about it. I fixed those files, but I know my computer won't run fast anyways. I also uninstalled AVG from my computer, the only reason why I installed AVG was because my McAfee was expired. Thank you once again for your help, you have relieved me of great stress.

If McAfee had expired then didnt you uninstall it ???

Without ongoing updates, you wont have protection against the latest infections. It is useless to have an expired program running on your PC. I would recommend that you uninstall McAfee and install AVG, if you havent renewed the subscription to McAfee. AVG is as good a program as McAfee, only it is free for personal use.
