I have Office 2003, up to date, and my problem is when ever I have word open, but no documents open, word closes by its self. any ideas how to fix this?

You can open another Office Programme then click help then run detect and repair
Can you open an existing Word document then press new
Can you open an existing Word document then press new

Yes, I can open an existing word document, and if i have a document open it does not close, it only closes when I have word open, but no documents open.

Then run Microsoft Update

Ran detect and repair, then made sure Office was up to date, but the problem still occures.
