Process File: gearsec or gearsec.exe
Process Name: Gear CD/DVD Burning Software

Description:
gearsec.exe is a process relating to Gear CD/DVD Burning Software, and has controls which deal with security. This program is a non-essential process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems.

And the service is legit as well.

Have you used CleanUp! for cleaning the temp files?
There's also one other software which might do it for you. Why do you want to get rid of it?

Download CleanUp
Install the program, and run it.

*IMPORTANT NOTE*
CleanUp deletes EVERYTHING out of your temp/temporary folders, it does not make backups.
If you have any documents or programs that are saved in any Temporary Folders, please make a backup of these before running CleanUp

Running CleanUp
  • Start CleanUp by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
  • When CleanUp starts go to the Options button (right side of CleanUp screen)
  • Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
  • Now place a checkmark next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):
    • Delete Cookies
This is optional, if you leave the box checked it will remove all of your cookies, at this point removing cookies is a good idea
    • Empty Recycle Bins
    • Delete Prefetch files
    • Cleanup! All Users
  • Click OK
  • Then click on the CleanUp button. This will take a short while, let it do its thing.
  • When asked to reboot system select Yes
  • Close CleanUp
This should do it.. Let me know :tazz:

Man, you do not need to be sorry for anything, i don't expect you guys to be online 24 hours a day and be sleeping withyour eyes open... heehee. ANyways no i have not gone to safe mode, i would not know what to do when i am there in safe mode. The only time i go into safe mode to is to run my Driver Cleaner when i have to unisntall files of old video drivers.

Boot into Safe Mode and empty all your temp files (Manually delete all the files inside the temp folders). Or you can try and run CleanUp or whatever app you use..
Should do it.
