USB port won't recognize new gear

My usb ports work with devices that I have used in the past but won't configure new ones. HELP!!!

Hi Bob F...Welcome to G2G!

Try using a different USB port for your hub. I don't know why this would matter, but switching the hub to a different port on the computer has cleared up this same problem for me several times. Hope this helps....
