Hello!

The user.dmp should not be hidden, but try searching for hidden files and folders as well. If you cannot find it even after searchign for hidden files and folders ill talk to atri and see whats up.

User.dmp is a DrWatson log. So it will show up why you are getting the error.

Hello!

Atribune is looking at your dmp files. He was wondering if you ever had McAffe installed on your system?

Hello!

Try uninstalling SP2

Open Add/Remove Programs
Look for Windows XP SP 2
Remove it.

Let me know if the issue still occurs after you uninstall SP2. :tazz:

Unfortunately Justin, the system still climbs through 100% CPU after removing SP2. This is a major drag. No more Dr.Watson though...still get the screen refreshing..

So it seems that SP 2 was causing the DrWatson Errors.

Can you explain the screen refreshing problem to me?

Thanks...
either iexplorer or a svchost appear to climb high enough to cause CPU to reflect 100%. This sometimes causes the screen to 'refresh' and regenerate. Not always, just 50%. Right now, watching task manager (while running Panda) I can see the two files roll right up either aggregate to 90-100%. When the screen does refresh what ever was open get's wiped.

APpreciate you sticking with me...it's been a battle with this OS.

Can you post the reulst of that panda scan you were doing.

Also please Download pv.zip.

http://www.atribune....ownloads/pv.zip
Please unzip it to the desktop. It will not work if you run it from inside the zip.

After unzipped go to the desktop. Open the pv folder. Open at least one instance of internet explorer.Double click on the runme.bat

A dos window will open. Please select option 2 for internet explorer dll's by typing 2 and then pressing enter. When it is finished Log.txt will open please paste the full contents of log.txt here.

Ok, did it. The panda scan had zero findings and no log...won't be able to attach.
