video card problem!

well im using a 5 year old compaq pentium3 800 mghz so i decied to buy a 64mb video card i installed it and i got this message

This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system.

so i decied to disable my intergraded video restarted and i had picture on the new video card intill widows loaded it locked up serval times so i had to system restore my computer since i disbaled my intergrated video what can i do to get this vid card to work?

Do you have your monitor plugged into the new video card and not the motherboards onboard video port.

yea it was pluged in the new video card it froze when loading windows

The "resource" in question is probably a IRQ, an interrupt request line. You can generally free one up by going to Device Manager and disabling something you're not using, one of the serial ports is usually a good choice.

well what i did was disable the intergrated video and the video card worked fun upon loading windows where it would then freeze
