laptop suddenly shuts down

:tazz: My laptop gets hot quick and suddenly shutss off. I have restored the operating system twice and problem still persists. Any advice on what I could do to fix the problem would be really the appreciated :)

Very likely your CPU fan is not working. Can you open the case? not so easy on laptops, and check on it.

Tyger is probably right but its also worth checking that the vents on the laptop are not clogged up with dust & that when you use it, you place it on a hard flat surface (such as a desk) and not on the bed/lap/cushion etc
