I am running on MS Windows 2000, (ver. 5.00.2195 SP-3). My IE Explorer (ver. 6.0.2800.1106 SP1) browser gets hijacked (opened, and directed to: http://217.170.4.137..._bin/index.html ) and then my dial-up connection gets terminated after 4 minutes or so….i ran the following prior to as a last resort, running hijack this (1.99.0.1) and posting the following log: (and thank you in advance for your help): WinsockXPFix / Clean-up! / Ad-aware SE / Spy Sweeper / Registry Mechanic / SpyBot S&D / Microsoft antispyware Beta:

We can definitely help you, but first you need to help us. The first step in this process is to apply Service Pack 4 for Win2k. Without this update, you're wide open to re-infection, and we're both just wasting our time.

Apply the update, reboot, and post a fresh Hijack This log.

Thanks Excal;

unfortunately because of connection problems, only got 1/2 thru Windows 2000 SP 4 uopgrade...before it stopped and now i am stuck with a acreen of blue....after windows allows me to log on, just when desktop normally shows up i get blue...should i just order the SP4 disc from microsoft and try again....although not sure i can get a CD to play if i did get it unless it starts auto upon startup...got any insight?
