Let us clean up your PC a little bit.

Delete the following programs and the associated folders, which you downloaded during the cleaning up process -

lopremover.exe

Uninstall Ewido as it is a trial product and the trial period will expire shortly. Conflicts can arise between multiple anti-virus programs and can severely hamper the performance of the PC.



Run Hijack This and click on scan. The following items need to be fixed -

O2 - BHO: netMonior Class - {85810C93-C14C-11D5-BC4B-0050BA28E4FE} - blank (file missing)
O3 - Toolbar: Big Fish Games - {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-86BD-FD60BB9AAE3A} - blank (file missing)

Close all windows other than Hijack This. Check the boxes next to above items and click on Fix checked.

This will not delete the programs from your PC. This will only disable the programs from running at Start up and result in a faster PC. You can always run the programs manually by using the respective exe files or the shortcuts.

After this, please visit Windows security and critical updates and get all the updates and patches and install them on your PC.

Reboot the PC and post a fresh HJT log.

I have a couple questions for you... first, do I need to uninstall Ewido? I have the reg'd version,,, had it before you started helping me. Second... do I also need to uninstall Zonealarm Security Suite for the same reason... I have reg's to these programs. and thirdly, regardless of your answes to the first 2 questions, what, in your opinion, are the best AV and Firewall titles for use in a home pc?

Well you have two anti-virus programs installed. Norton and Ewido.

Conflicts can arise between multiple anti-virus programs and can severely hamper the performance of the PC. Both Ewido and Norton are good programs. You have to choose which one you want to keep !!!!

Keep Zone Alarm firewall it is a good product
