i wish to write couple of my movies which are in .dat or .mpeg format. even some are dvd format on to a dvd. How would i go about doing this? and how can i create the menus like the one we find when we buy 3 in one dvds?

Hello,

Once you convert all of your titles to mpeg, then you can use the free open source DVD Styler program to create DVD menus and create a burnable DVD image. I have found it pretty useful and great for making quick DVD's with clean basic menus. Link to the sourceforge page is below:

To convert VOB's to mpg, you can take a look at the free tool VOB2MPG.

And finally, for converting dat files to mpeg, you can check out the free and very useful program, VCDGear at:
