Here is a log from a spare computer of mine that gets a lot of pop ups. I just updated windows, booted into safe mode and ran adaware, spyboy, cwshredder, windowwasher, cleanup, and aboutbuster.

I have something called "web savings from ebates", but when I try to remove it, I get an error. Other than that I only removed a viewpoint item...here is the log

First, we need to remove the pepper trojan. Download this file, run, and let terminate (it'll just blink briefly on your screen and won't appeared to have done much--this is normal):

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.
Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.
Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the menu).
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):

mdmaysvr.exe Look in c:\windows\system32 or c:\windows for this one. If not found run a search for it and when found don't delete from there. Go to the location of the file and kill it.

Reboot normally and post new log. Please include information on how your system is running.

Normally we recommend you remove the hijack this entries in normal mode and remove the files and folders in safe mode. Sometimes on occasion users may have to do it all in safe mode.

I also posted another thread today about the about:blank hijacker, and have seemed to have used up my options on this one, maybe you could take a look at that thread and tell me what you think...basically, no matter what program I run or procedure people have me go through, when I open IE, I get one popup, which seems to reset the IE to about:blank and everything is f'ed up just like before, registry changes and everything....I'm thinking there has got to be a way to kill this thing w/o reformatting the drive.

Good news on that line that wasn't there. The peper trojan remover worked. About the about:blank is that on another pc? Because I don't see it anywhere in your log.
