Black chunks

I get these black curves theon each side of my screen when i start up the about half an inch big . Is this just the moniter warming up or something?
Now the chunks on the side r sorta acting like my monites perimeter or something cause its like me screen is all scrunched up now and i can obly move my mouse up to the black part and thats it

Run it then click + next to computer then summary, look on right for display / video adapter
