I have been attempting to repair my father-in-law's computer which is a system I built with an Asus motherboard and an AMD 1.8 Gig processor.

I installed SP 2 yesterday and since, it just continnually tries to boot. It tells me that there was a problem and that I can select safe mode, safe with networking, last good configuration or normal. I have tried all of these to no avail.

I have placed the old XP Pro disc into the CD ROM but it seems to bypass booting from CD. Any ideas?
