I'd really appreciate your help!
Here's the story: Bought a beautiful Fujitsu S7020D, Win XP Pro operating system, with the Atheros wireless that everyone seemed to rec., and at first we had a nightmare, with frequent blue screens of death with the ar5211.sys error. Anyway, ultimately we discovered that Fujitsu had installed the Atheros drivers but not the Atheros wireless client, which caused us to keep on getting the BSOD. So- set up the Atheros software, disabled the Microsoft network client and everything was perfect. With the Atheros client software installed but without the Windows wireless utility disabled, btw, we stopped getting the BSOD, but Internet connection kept on dropping; we needed to disable the Windows wireless utility.
Now to tear my hair out- my daughter started law school, and to use the wireless on the network she must use Windows to configure her wireless network setting. The Microsoft 802.1x Authentication Client is required for the Windows-based Operating System to authenticate to the wireless network.
Any ideas on how to use the Atheros card with the Windows wireless set-up without getting a BSOD from the Atheros drivers or without having both wireless utilities conflicting and causing my Internet connection to be dropped?
