When I try to play a DVD on Windows Media Player I get the following error code: C00D1163: A problem occurred with digital copyright protection.

After I hit OK a box comes up saying "Your system is set to DVD region 4, to play this DVD set your system to region 1."

So how do I set it to region 1? *confused*

THanks,

OMG, so it's actually Geographic region they're talking about/! Weird!

So I followed your directions, and am able to play the DVD I wanted to...

*It says you're only allowed to change the region 3 times? Why is this?*

Thanks for your help ---- :tazz:

DVD regions are meant for security against piracy, so that you play DVD which are only meant for your region.
The lmint for changing region is again for the same reason.
It is best you stick to the region you are in, and buy DVD only for that region.
