My computer has become very slow and sometimes unresponsive lately. I have run all of the anti-spyware programs and also anti virus ones too. Could someone please look over my HJT log and offer some advice ?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Please visit Panda and do an online scan. Save the scan report and post it back here.

Hi- I did the Panda online scan and didn't see an option to save it. The scan showed no problems/infections.

If you want me to run it again and try to save I will.

Thanks,

Chris

Are you familiar with the program - C:\Program Files\AQ\aq.exe??

Please download RootKitRevealer from here:
http://www.sysintern...kitrevealer.zip
Unzip it to the desktop, run it, and click Scan. This will generate a log file; please post the entire contents of the log file here for me to see.

Please RIGHT-CLICK HERE to download Silent Runner's.
  • Save it to the desktop.
  • Run Silent Runner's by doubleclicking the "Silent Runners" icon on your desktop.
  • You will see a text file appear on the desktop - it's not done, let it run (it won't appear to be doing anything!)
  • Once you receive the prompt All Done!, open the text file on the desktop, copy that entire log, and paste it here.
*NOTE* If you receive any warning message about scripts, please choose to allow the script to run.

Hi,

The AQ files are a installed subscription quoting service I use for work.

Do you have the Windows CD ????

Hi,

No I don't have the installation disk. It's my work computer and it was upgraded to WIN2000 by an outside tech we used to use. I can't find where he ever left a copy of the install disk, and he's moved out of the area.

Can you borrow Windows 2000 CD from anywhere else ??

You will only need the Cd and not the registration Key for doing a repair install.

I'll check and see if I can borrow one. Can you leave this thread open for a day or two as it will most likely be that long before I can borrow one.

Thanks for your help,

Chris

Sure, I will leave the thread open for a few days.

In case you find the CD, then post back here. Do not start repair install with the CD without consulting me
