Hello,

I am having a small problem with AOL Instant Messenger. When I double-click a person's name to send an instant messenge or someone sends an instant messenge to me an error message pops up saying "A runtime error has occurred. Do you wish to debug? Line 60 Error: 'piranha' is undefined" I have updated to the most recent version and the problem is still present. I was just wondering if someone had any suggestions. Thank you in advance for any help, it is greatly appreciated.

Did you uninstall the previous version of AIM before upgrading? If not, uninstall, before installing the new version from here
If the uninstaller asks whether you want to remove shared resources that are no longer in use, click yes. They should be reinstalled later anyways when you reinstall AIM.

-I don't have AOL I have Comcast, and that was irrelevant to the issue, but thanks.

I uninstalled AIM and installed it again and the problem is still there. Is there something else I could do? Thank you.

Can you please download and run HiJack This and then post the log here so that I may see what other programs are running.

-I have tried the debug option and it freezes my computer, I do not know if script debuggers are running. Thank you for the help though.

you could also try downloading a program called miranda ( i think it's spelled right) it's an all around im client...can be used to connect to aim accounts, msn...whatever you got
