Hi SalboDO and welcome to the Geeks to Go Forums.

My name is Trevuren and I will be helping you with your log.

1. If you haven't logged in go to Geeks to Go and do so. Then proceed to item a.

If you already have logged in, go directly to item a.
  • Click on My Controls at the top right hand corner of the window.
  • In the left hand column, click "View Topics"
  • If you click on the title of your post, you will be taken there
2. Also, while at the My Controls page, check the box to the right of your post and then scroll down.
.Where it says "unsubscribe" click the pull-down menu and select "immediate email notification"

3. Please DELETE your current HJT program from its present location.

4. Download and run the following HijackThis autoinstall program from Here HJT needs to be in its own folder so that the program itself isn't deleted by accident. Having the backups could be VITAL to restoring your system if something went wrong in the FIX process!
  • Run HijackThis
  • Click SCAN and SAVE LOG. (a notepad window will open with the log in it when you click Save Log) (Ctrl-A to'select all', Ctrl-C to 'copy')
  • POST the log into this thread using 'Add Reply' (Ctrl-V to 'paste')

DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES OR CLICK "FIX CHECKED" UNTIL WE CHECK THE LOG, AS MOST OF THE FILES ARE LEGIT AND VITAL TO THE FUNCTION OF YOUR COMPUTER

Regards,

Trevuren

Please RIGHT-CLICK HERE to download Silent Runner's.
  • Save it to the desktop.
  • Run Silent Runner's by doubleclicking the "Silent Runners" icon on your desktop.
  • You will see a text file appear on the desktop - it's not done, let it run (it won't appear to be doing anything!)
  • Once you receive the prompt All Done!, open the text file on the desktop, copy that entire log, and paste it here.
*NOTE* If you receive any warning message about scripts, please choose to allow the script to run.

Regards,

Trevuren

There are 4 more hijacks to go after this lot. They are all done at once but I want to do them by themselves because I must include directions for you to verify/amend settings.

Please print out or copy this page to Notepad. Make sure to work through the fixes in the exact order in which they are mentioned below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.
  • First we need to make all files and folders VISIBLE:
    • Go to start>control panel>folder options>view (tab)
    • Choose to "show hidden files and folders,"
    • Uncheck the "hide protected operating system files" and the "hide extensions for know file types" boxes.
    • Close the window with ok
  • Please RUN HijackThis.
. Click the SCAN button to produce a log.

  • Place a check mark beside each one of the following items:

    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = C:\WINDOWS\system32\msblank.html
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page =
    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {AF393E58-4584-7575-1F70-436D6AA41379} - corrida.dll (file missing)
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Windows iMessenger Messenger] winimsg.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [intell32.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\intell32.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [JAguAr] 34763.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [syspanel] bhoserv.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ControlPanel] C:\WINDOWS\system32\popcorn72.exe rundll.dll,LoadMouseProfile
    O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [Windows iMessenger Messenger] winimsg.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Windows iMessenger Messenger] winimsg.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WareOut] "C:\Program Files\WareOut\WareOut.exe"
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ERTYDF] cmon14.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ExchangeMaster] NukeSpan.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [UserSp1] NukeSpan.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\RunServices: [Windows iMessenger Messenger] winimsg.exe

  • Now with all the items selected, and all windows closed except for HJT, delete them by clicking the FIX checked button. Close the HijackThis window.

  • Reboot Your System in Safe Mode

How to use the F8 method to Start Your Computer in Safe Mode

    • Restart the computer.

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [RegSvr32] C:\WINDOWS\System32\msmsgs.exe
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Mo46RgJ4T] shstf.exe
    O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{00E42067-40AC-4030-B5E5-C50D67CDB0B8}: NameServer = 69.50.161.132,85.255.112.15
    O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{E90A5C6F-71A7-440E-955D-3ABE1E0A9BD6}: NameServer = 69.50.161.132,85.255.112.15
    O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\..\{00E42067-40AC-4030-B5E5-C50D67CDB0B8}: NameServer = 69.50.161.132,85.255.112.15
    O17 - HKLM\System\CS2\Services\Tcpip\..\{00E42067-40AC-4030-B5E5-C50D67CDB0B8}: NameServer = 69.50.161.132,85.255.112.15

  • Now with all the items selected, and all windows closed except for HJT, delete them by clicking the FIX checked button. Close the HijackThis window.

  • Reboot Your System in Safe Mode

How to use the F8 method to Start Your Computer in Safe Mode

    • Restart the computer.
    • As soon as BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until the Advanced Options menu appears.
    • Use the arrow keys to select the Safe mode menu item
    • Press Enter.
  • Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and DELETE them (if they are present):

    C:\WINDOWS\System32\msmsgs.exe
shstf.exe<===You will have to Search for this one

  • Exit Explorer, and REBOOT BACK INTO NORMAL MODE

  • Finally, RUN Hijackthis again and produce a new HJT log. Post it in the forum so we can check how everything looks now.

Note: Before coming back online, please do the following:

Before doing this write down all the settings, Note that not all system/setups even have these settings, While some connection service's will require them.

In the windows control panel. If you are using Windows XP's Category View, select the Network and Internet Connections category otherwise double click on Network Connections. Then right click on your default connection, usually local area connection for cable and dsl, and left click on properties. Click the Networking tab. Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS servers automatically

Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks.
That option might not be avaiable one some systems
Next Go start run type cmd and hit OK
type
ipconfig /flushdns
then hit enter, type exit hit enter
(that space between g and / is needed)

Regards,

Trevuren

Your log looks good. If you have no more malware-related problems that you are aware of, just give me the OK and we can start the final but essential cleanup procedures.
