[COLOR=purple][SIZE=7][FONT=Arial] I really need help. I have spent many days trying to remove all information on Wild Tangent with no success!
My daughter downloaded AOL Instant Messenger and this is how the headache began. I have removed the program AOL and AIM, have searched the web for the question I am asking and have gone through Start, Run and REGEDIT and believed I removed every file that would pertain to this and I still have the error when starting up: C:\ProgramFiles\WildTangent\Apps\CDA\cdaEngine0400.dll The specified module could not be found.
I also reinstalled AOL and all files and then uninstalled them with no success. I have also done Start, Run and MSCONFIG. I did the Diagnostic and Selective Startups with no avail. Please if anyone can help me I would be so grateful!

Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the menu).
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):


C:\Program Files\Viewpoint
C:\Program Files\WildTangent

Please delete your temporary files. Double Click My Computer (WinXP: Navigate to Start --->My Computer)
You will see an icon representing your harddrive (most likely C: Drive) Right Click on the hard drive icon and click Properties at the
bottom of the fly out window. One the very first tab (General) you will see a button labeled "Disk Cleanup"...click that button.
Make sure the following are checked:
Downloaded Program Files
Temporary Internet Files and
Recycle Bin
Click OK and Disk Cleanup will delete those files for you

reboot and post a newlog.

I was able to follow all the above instructions through the Safe Mode. When the account user screen came up to enter your password; I could not enter it. This is where I could not go any further. I want to thank everyone who is trying to help me out.

Boot in normal mode. Press CTRL+ALT+Delete. Use the task manager to end this process:
ViewMgr.exe

Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following folders in bold (if found):
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint
C:\Program Files\WildTangent

Reboot your PC.

I was able to follow the above directions and removed ViewMgr.exe. I was not able to view any hidden files. I rebooted my PC and it acts just like I have never done anything. Below is the lastest rescan of HijackThis:

I have been able to remove the View Point File in the hidden files. There was no Wild Tangent File to remove. I ran HijackThis after the removal of the View Point File. I did not select to fix any items at this point. The following is a copy:

Let's try one more time.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

Reboot your PC.
Please reboot into safe mode (continually tap the F8 key while your system is starting, select Safe Mode from the menu).
Be sure you're able to view hidden files, and remove the following files in bold (if found):
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint

Please delete your temporary files. Double Click My Computer (WinXP: Navigate to Start --->My Computer)
You will see an icon representing your harddrive (most likely C: Drive) Right Click on the hard drive icon and click Properties at the
bottom of the fly out window. One the very first tab (General) you will see a button labeled "Disk Cleanup"...click that button.
Make sure the following are checked:
Downloaded Program Files
Temporary Internet Files and
Recycle Bin
Click OK and Disk Cleanup will delete those files for you

Reboot your PC.
