DVD wont read in drive

I downloaded windvd on my computer and put a dvd in my harddrive but the computer never read it. I checked on "my computer" and it didnt read the dvd. why is this happening?? help!!!

"my computer" and it didnt read the dvd.

what exactly does this mean? did you go to my computer and click on the drive and it didn't show anything in it? right click on my computer > manage > device manager. look for any yellow ?

I think that he might be meaning that his CD Drive or DVD drive is not reading DVD cd's.

I have a cd drive and i think its a dvd drive too. is it possible to install a software where a dvd can be read through a cd drive??

If it is only a CD Rom, then you will not be able to watch DVD's and need to get a DVD Rom.

If you already have it, then yes install the drivers for it if you have not done it already.
