I have an emachines M6410 laptop and the connector to the AC adaptor input has been damaged and needs to be replaced. I can not find a service center that will take on the job and I am willing to do it myself. My problem is, I can not seem to be able to get access to the motherboard so I can change the connector out. Are there some hidden screws or catches on this unit that I can't see? I have removed all the screw I can find on the back and opened the hard drive bay, memory bay and CPU bay and removed whatever screws I found in there. The problems seems to be around where the monitor connects to the keyboard. Any help would be appreciated.

Are there any clips that hold or pop off so you can remove the keyboard?

First things first: Try to get the manual. The model number +manual, or

model no. filetype:pdf

will often locate it in Google.
