Am I missing it or do you not have any anti-viral programs running? There are plenty of free ones out there.

Well due to the constant need to reformat, he has not been able to set up a long term anti-viral program, but besides that, is there anything wrong?

Log's all clear! ;)

See these optional fixes:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [HotKeysCmds] C:\WINDOWS\System32\hkcmd.exe
(Description: Intel hotkey applet. Unnecessary. Removing this will free up a small amount of system resources.)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PrinTray] C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\printray.exe
(Description: Lexmark/Compaq printer icon in the System Tray for quick access. Not required - uncheck via Printer configuration rather than MSCONFIG. See also LexmarkPrintray and CompaqPrinTray. Removing this will free up some system resources. )

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Works Portfolio] C:\Program Files\Microsoft Works\WksSb.exe /AllUsers
(Description: Microsoft Works portfolio tool. If you're not using this, remove it. Removing this entry will free up a small amount of system resources.)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Microsoft Works Update Detection] C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Works Shared\WkUFind.exe
(Description: Checks for updates to MS Works. Unnecessary. Removing this entry will free up some system resources. )

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_06\bin\jusched.exe
(Description: Sun Java update scheduler. Checks for updates. Not necessary. Removing this entry will free up a small amount of system resources.)

O4 - Global Startup: Adobe Gamma Loader.lnk = C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Calibration\Adobe Gamma Loader.exe
(Description: Adjusts monitor colours across all programs, including Photoshop. It is needed by some graphics professionals who want their monitor calibrated. Most home users will not need it, and thus should remove this entry. )

This one's a hog. :tazz:
O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\OSA.EXE
(Description: Microsoft Office startup assistant. Not necessary. Removing this entry will free up a significant amount of system resources.)
