Hi guys,
i was wondering if someone can tell me how cam i send a file thru the com 1 port to my printer when another progrma is using that com port (peripheral manager) without exiting that program????
And does anyone have a software i could use to monitor the data exchanged between the printer and the com 1 port?

If it's not to much to ask, why do you want to use that port? Can you connect with USB? That is the most common method today. What about the parallel printer port? People get rid of printers all the time and the cables that came with them. You will need a special cable for the serial port anyway, plus software, which may be hard to find (try the printer mfr.) since those ports aren't used much for anything.

Thank you Tyger for your reply, however i need to use the com ports because these are special boarding pass printers in the airports that i need to monitor, and they use the com 1 port only, my problem is that i want to manually download the driver from a batch file using the com port, but it is used by a peripheral manager and the access to this port is denied (busy) + i don't have a copy of the driver it is downloaded remotely that's why i need to tap the port to get a copy of the driver being downloaded in order to download it locally.
Please could anyone help???
