Hi all,
I have noticed others have posted in regards to this exact same trojan horse, but the solutions for them do not work for me. I have updated Norton Internet Security but it does not detect anything, and neither does Trojan Hunter. I downloaded Ad Aware SE, but when I go to launch it, I get a message saying "File size expected = 2855080. File size returned = 1842048". Reluctant to download anything else since I have experienced problems with such programs leaving their own annoying adware behind.

Anyway, here are the specifics of what's ailing my machine. Any help is immensely appreciated ...

1. "Your computer might be at risk

- Your virus protection status is bad
- Spyware activity detected

Click this baloon to fix the problem"

pop up "baloon" thing in the bottom right hand corner, with spelling error

2. "WARNING: Windows Firewall detected suspicious network activity on your computer. Malicious software codes try to steal your privacy information, such as credit card numbers, electronic mail accounts, financial data or passwords.

Do you want to learn how to protect your computer?"

One other important piece of info .... sometimes when I boot up, I get a message from Notyon indicating that a trojan horse was found. C:\Windows\System32\hclean32.exe, with an additional "can not repair this file message."

Help? :tazz:
