Windows Firewall disappeared / Incomers blocked

Windows FIrewall service is not in the list and port scan shows numerous failed port scans. Cant connect to pc

Do you only have XP Firewall and is it not showing in security centre

Attemps to open its setting from Properties of Network Connection bring to an error: Windws firewall could not start.

Its not service packed windows... no security center. Firewall cannot be launched from control panel

You should go for SP2 but then the XP Firewall only blocks incoming data

You would be better getting SP2 and a third party firewall
