I'm a computer scientist and do have good background in Internet Applications and Technologies. MS Sharepoint is a new product that the company I work for use. I would like your assistance for the following :
1- How should I start my venture on working with the product?
2- A brief explanation on how it works and why to use?
3- Can I install the product on my Windows XP professional and train myself?
4- I heard of Sharepoint Portal and Sharepoint Team sites..What's the difference and which should I use for my learning purpose?
5- Where can I find good tutorial on using the product - keeping in mind I would like to install so I can follow the theory and practical use of the product.
