I got my new laptop jus a few days ago..now i think its infected by a spware or virus..This is wat happens..the virus generates files(1000s of them) and everyfile it generated is identified by my Norton Anti-virus. So within 2days my norton anti viurs program accumulated 45000 quarantined files takin up a space of 22GB. when i deleted the 45000 quarantined items..after 15 mins i found 1000 quarantined by norton antivirus. I dunno how to solve this probelm...cos these things really take up alot of Hard disk space and slow down mycomptuer.

I have done all the measures said in the HIJACK THIS sticky except HijackTHIS log. so here is mine..

Thanx alot for your time and help

Hi and welcome to GeeksToGo! My name is Sam and I will be helping you. :tazz:

I see you are running Hijackthis from your desktop. Please create a directory on your c: drive called c:\hijackthis and move hijackthis into that directory. Run the program from that directory from now on. It is essential that you follow these steps or certain important features of the program will not function correctly.

Once you have Hijackthis running from a within a folder please reboot and post a new hijackthis log.
