Just out of curiosity, What OS are the computers running? Are they both XP Home with SP2 or 1 XP Home and 1 XP Pro?

Both pcs are using Xp pro sp2. I just finished using the switch between PC B And yet another computer PC C and the LAN works both ways. From PC B I can now ping PC A but I can still not access its resources.
