I was checking out my sons computer the other day. I've never seen any evidence of his visiting pornographic web-sites. He's usually playing metal of honor or doing home work. The other day I decided to look in the registry of his computer and found under hkey_current_user>software>microsoft>internetexplorer>Zones>Domains (or something close to this... I'm at my office and don't have the paper handy right now) a lot of pornographic web-sites listed. They were also near a folder with the word "lockdown" on it. I was wondering if these sites were listed because someone using this computer (my son or a friend) visited these pornographic web-sites or if they are there by default as being dangerous or restricted sites? I'd appreciate getting some clarification on this. Thanks in advance

It could be because they are in one of the zones.
Open Internet Explorer.
Click Tools -> Internet Options, click on Security tab.

Click on Restricted sites, then click on Sites button; if you see the websites here that means they have been restricted and no-one go to those sites.

If you find them in the Trusted Zone, perhaps your friend or son has visited them.

I will check out the restricted zones on his computer to see if they show up there.

Are there any sites added to the restricted zone by default or is it usually empty?

Thanks for your help.
