I noticed every time I reply to a thread, the box "Enable email notification of replies?"
is always checked. Is there a way to dissable this without unchecking it each time? Thanks.

Might be in your controls on this site.

As far as removing it from the actual forums, I dont think so no. But just untick it before you do a posting

It's a global setting of the forum software. We have replies enabled by default so that users can easily find their topic when they get a reply.

It's a global setting of the forum software.

Global means effects everyone, and set by administrators. No, you cannot change it.
