My system restore has disappeared. When I try to get Windows updates the PC freezes.

The D drive spins wildly whenever I try to do anything.

I have tried everything and I'm at a loss.

Can't reformat.

I have to use IE because Firefox freezes.

Maybe I'm missing system files or something. It doesn't seem to be a malware issue but maybe I'm wrong. Could be a redirect.

If not can you direct me to a site where I can find
a fix to my problem.

The HJT log looks clean but not sure.
