No, Client for Microsoft Networks is supposed to be there. What you may want to do is Reinstall the Client Service for Netware. Just like you did before, go into the properties of the network connection, click install, click client, choose Client Service for Netware. Let it install and reboot. Once it is rebooted go ahead and do the opposite, uninstall Client Service for Netware and look above for my instructions on re=enabling the welcome screen.

Okay but before I continue I just want to say that It is not Client Service for Netware it is called just 'Client'?
