I have gotten this unexpectedly after I restarted system. Now I cannot run any application, computer loads for a long time on boot and hard drive is constantly making noise as if it is writing or deleting something, but the CPU is 98% idle. I have noticed whenever I make an atempt to run a program, in the that directory, a text file by the name "logX.txt" would be copied. And every time iof I dont dele these files before restart, "server" VBScript File would appear in "startup" folder for AdministrATOR. Now I cannot even run any application besides winamp so how may O go about this?

Safe mode does not help, as exactly same problem occurs.

Thanks alot!

You my friend have a virus!!

Please download and attempt to run HijackThis http://www.greyknigh.../HijackThis.exe - this program will help us determine if there are any spyware/malware on your computer. Create a folder at C:\HJT and move HijackThis.exe there. Double click on the program to run it.

1. If it gives you an intro screen, just choose 'Do a system scan and save a logfile'.
2. If you don't get the intro screen, just hit Scan and then click on Save log.
3. Post the hijackthis.log file here. Do not fix anything in HijackThis since they may be harmless.
