Hi bobby83 and Welcome to GeekstoGo!

Please print these instructions out for use in Safe Mode.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files.
  • After the files are extracted, please reboot your computer into Safe Mode. You can do this by restarting your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears. Use your up arrow key to highlight Safe Mode then hit enter.
  • Once in safe mode open the VundoFix folder and doubleclick on KillVundo.bat
  • Please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):
    • C:\WINNT\system32\mlljg.dll
  • Press Enter, then press the F6 key, then press Enter one more time to continue with the fix.
  • The fix will run then HijackThis will open.
  • In HiJackThis, please place a check next to the following items and click FIX CHECKED:

    O2 - BHO: MSEvents Object - {827DC836-DD9F-4A68-A602-5812EB50A834} - C:\WINNT\system32\mlljg.dll

    O20 - Winlogon Notify: mlljg - C:\WINNT\system32\mlljg.dll

  • After you have fixed these items, close Hijackthis and Press any key to Force a reboot of your computer.
  • Pressing any key will cause a "Blue Screen of Death" this is normal, do not worry!
  • Once your machine reboots please continue with the instructions below.
Download and install CleanUp!

Open Cleanup! by double-clicking the icon on your desktop (or from the Start > All Programs menu).
Set the program up as follows:
Click "Options..."
Move the arrow down to "Custom CleanUp!"
Put a check next to the following (Make sure nothing else is checked!):
  • Empty Recycle Bins
  • Delete Cookies
  • Delete Prefetch files
  • Cleanup! All Users
Click OK
Press the CleanUp! button to start the program.

It may ask you to reboot at the end, click NO.

Then, please run this online virus scan: ActiveScan

Copy the results of the ActiveScan and paste them here along with a new HiJackThis log and the vundofix.txt file from the vundofix folder into this topic.

theres a bit of a problem..

those 2 files for hijackthis you said to fix wont remove themselves from the list, the screen just erases when i try it after i get a pop up saying you are trying to remove a bho file and causes something to happen

im also not able to run active scan, the firsttime my browser closed automatically during it, the 2nd time my whole screen blacked out.

my hijackthis is here but it looks the same as the last one, i did all this in safe mode like you asked.

Be sure you are logged in under an Administrator account and Go back into Safe Mode again and Run the fix once more!

Make sure that Microsoft AntiSpyware and Ewido arent running and that all other Windows and Browsers are Closed before running the fix!

OK,Run the Vundo fix once more, this time right after you double click KillVundo.bat!

Click Enter once and then follow the prompts to enter the file name!

The Fix should read like this!

Please print these instructions out for use in Safe Mode.

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to extract the files
  • This will create a VundoFix folder on your desktop.
  • You will first be presented with a warning and a list of forums to seek help at.
    it should look like this

    VundoFix V2.1 by Atri
By pressing enter you agree that you are using this at your own risk
Please seek assistance at one of the following forums:
    http://www.atribune.org/forums
    http://www.247fixes.com/forums
    http://www.geekstogo.com/forum
    http://forums.net-integration.net

  • At this point press enter one time.
  • Next you will see:

Type in the filepath as instructed by the forum staff
Then Press Enter, Then F6, Then Enter Again to continue with the fix.

  • At this point please type the following file path (make sure to enter it exactly as below!):

OK,lets do this the manual way!

From the VundoFix Folder, locate and move vundo.reg to your desktop for easy access!

Please download Process Explorer by Systernals from here
http://www.sysintern...s/procexpnt.zip

Unzip and Extract all Files!

Restart in Safe Mode and Double click on procexp.exe

In the top section of the Process Explorer screen double click on winlogon.exe to bring up the winlogon.exe properties screen. Click on the Threads tab at the top.

Once you see this screen click on each instance of mlljg.dll once and then click the kill button.

After you have killed all of the mlljg.dll's under winlogon click OK.

Also look for any .ini or .bak files or other dll's with either the same name or the file name in reverse & kill them as well. (Example: gjllm.dll or gjllm.ini or mlljg.ini etc.)

Record the name of any of these files found so you can remove them in the steps below.

Next double click on explorer.exe and again click once on each instance of mlljg.dll then click the kill button.

Also look for any .ini or .bak files or reverse named dll's with either the same name or the file name in reverse & kill them as well!

Record the name of any of these files found so you can remove them in the steps below.

Click on the Threads tab at the top.

Once you have done that click OK again.

Next run HijackThis and place a check beside each of the following.

O2 - BHO: MSEvents Object - {827DC836-DD9F-4A68-A602-5812EB50A834} - C:\WINNT\system32\mlljg.dll

O20 - Winlogon Notify: mlljg - C:\WINNT\system32\mlljg.dll

Now click fix checked and close HijackThis.

Now locate and double click vundo.reg and allow it to merge into the registry!

Highlight the list below and press Ctrl+C to Copy!

C:\WINNT\system32\mlljg.dll
C:\WINNT\system32\mlljg.ini
C:\WINNT\system32\mlljg.ini1
C:\WINNT\system32\mlljg.ini2
C:\WINNT\system32\mlljg.bak
C:\WINNT\system32\mlljg.bak1
C:\WINNT\system32\mlljg.bak2
C:\WINNT\system32\mlljg.tmp
C:\WINNT\system32\gjllm.dll
C:\WINNT\system32\gjllm.ini
C:\WINNT\system32\gjllm.ini1
C:\WINNT\system32\gjllm.ini2
C:\WINNT\system32\gjllm.bak
C:\WINNT\system32\gjllm.bak1
C:\WINNT\system32\gjllm.bak2
C:\WINNT\system32\gjllm.tmp

Open Pocket Killbox-> Click File-> Click Paste from Clipboard!

Place a tick by Delete on Reboot-> Click the Red Circle to Delete!

Click Yes to the Prompts that follow and let Killbox Reboot the PC!
