I have a small network at home and a bit larger one I set up at the office, both with wireless access. I recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 700m and I am unable to access network resources wirelessly with the 700m at home. At the office everything works fine. I will add I do have an older Dell that acesses network resouces wirelessly just fine at home.
The only difference in the two networks is home has a router connected to an wireless access point. Office they are one in the same. I do have internet access and email works fine. I just cannot see any computers or network shares with the 700m only, at the office I can.

It sounds like you are being firewalled.

Did you check for the proper permissions? That's where I'd start. Try turning off the firewall on the main computer and see if your dell will see the network then. Check the router security settings, some have built in firewall protection.
